The National Museum of the Philippines was established in October 29, 1901 and owned by the government. It serves as an educational, scientific and cultural institution in preserving the various national collections of the country.
The National Museum of the Philippines is located in Padre Burgos Avenue, Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila. It's between LRT-1 via Central Terminal and United Nations stations.

The Spoliarium by Juan Luna y Novicio was the largest painting in the country. It is displayed across El Asesinato del Gobernador Bustamante (The Assassination of Governor Bustamante) painting by Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo.

A National Hero of the Philippines . Known as a patriot, poet, novelist, doctor, writer and also a skilled artist. At the gallery, you will see his several portrait busts, drawing, sculptures and paintings.

Cubist Paintings by Vicente S. Manansala
The Philippine-American General Life Insurance Company (Philam Life) commissioned Vicente S. Manansala in the 1960's to create seven large paintings for its building in U.N. Avenue, Ermita, Manila.
The Old Session Hall of the Senate of the Philippines
Designed by Arc. Ralph Harrington Doane and Antonio Toledo in 1918 to be a library. However, Arc. Juan Arellano revised it to be a Legislative Building.
It is open Tuesdays to Sundays, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Tip: Visit the museum on Sundays and during the months of May (Heritage Month) and October (Museum and Galleries Month) when entrance to the museum is free !
